BeyWheelz, Leon X Reader

I walked down the pathways of the local zoo. A young white lion cub pouncing on my heels as i went. I carried a bucket full of meat in my hand as i wiped the sweat from my brow. The little lion cub was wandering away to growl at the arctic foxes. I whistled sharply.

"Simba!" i called and the albino cub toddled back. He pounced on my boots and tried to get at the meat in the bucket.

"No. This isnt for you" i scolded lightly. He growled. I opend the door to the lion cage and the little cub trotted after me. One of the lioness's came up and took a large chunk of meat, the two larger males came and began to promptly fight over another piece. The youngest male took the leftover piece and Simba stole a piece from the lioness. While they ate, i did a bit of cleaning and fooled around with the two males.

I was a zookeeper...the assistant manager of the whole park, and with good reason. I was amazing with animals...or so i was told. The lions loved me, Simba was my unoffical 'pet' and the other lions i could even fight them without them getting agressive. It was the same with all the animals at the park. I actually lived at the park, i spent all my free time here. If not outside on the grounds, giving tours, i was in the reptile house. Spooking people by holding the massive snakes and tarantula's. I would walk arund the park with a different animal each day. A monkey one day, perched on my sholder, or a snake the day before. But Simba was the undesputed favorite of the crowds. He would romp around and toy with visitors shoelaces and act as cute as possible. I was doing the last rounds for the day. Feeding the animals while the few remaining visitors left the park. I was wrestling playfully with the young male as he knocked me backwards and started licking me, a heard a chuckle from outside the pen and saw a young man watching me. He was about 15 or so, with pine colored hair and violet eyes. He had a smirk on his face.

"I believe you lost that round" he chuckled. I rolled my eyes as the tiny albino lion attacked the laces on my boots.

"It appears so" The young lion roared at me as if he wanted round 2. Of course i accepted the challenge.
He reared up and braced his paws against my sholders, i did the same and he tried to push me over. Of course he suceeded. I laughed as he licked my face in apology. I rubbed his growing mane as he went to finish supper. I picked up Simba and exited the cage, letting the oldest male out as well. He was the most well behaved. I placed Simba on my sholder as the large lion went to explore the newcomer.

"So, you visiting?" i asked. The teen rubbed the lions head.

"Yea, i heard that the lions here are really friendly so i thought i'd check it out. Turns out that rumor was true." Simba kept trying to jump down, i placed him on the ground as he started attacking his laces.

"So, you work here. Am i right?" he asked.

"Yea, my names __(n)__. I'm the assistant manager of the park" i replied.

"I'm Leon...Fierce. You've probably heard of me" he said.

"...Leon huh....The beywheeler?" i asked, trying to remember.

"Yea! I'm the third best beywheeler in the world!" he said, pointing at himself. I chuckled as the two lions lay down at my feet.

"Your bey is Leone. Am i correct?" i asked. He nodded.

"Wild Mane Leone" he nodded. The older lion paced back into the cage and went back onto his sunning rock. Simba followed.

"Why dont you come in and say hello to the others?" i offerd, Leon nodded and i let him inside with the lions. Simba romped around, chasing a mouse that had been stupid enough to venture into the Lion cage. After Leon and i visited the lions, i brought him into my house for dinner.

"It was really nice of you to invite me in here" he said.

"It's no problem, i hardly ever have guests" i smiled as i cooked in the adjoining kitchen.

"You live in the park huh? Must be fun to be able to play with all the animals so often" he said as he watched my pet snake in it's glass cage.

"It's fun yea, it's a dream job. But it's not too good for making friends. Sure you meet alot of people but it's for business only. I dont really get to make alot of friends" i shrugged as i absent mindedly mashed the potatoes. He nodded, his head propped up on his fist.

"Hey, why dont i bring a few friends tomorrow? They all love animals too and i'm sure they'd like to have a day off for once" Leon offerd.

"That would be nice, if you wanted i could give you all a private tour after the park closes." i said.

"That would be great! You've probably heard of my friends too. Sho, Jin, Covey, Nicole and Marche." Leon said. I nodded.

"All of team Estrella huh? I'd better get prepared" i chuckled as i slid a plate down infront of Leon and one for me.

"Sounds like a plan!"


I met team Estrella at the front gates, it was still light out, the sun was just starting to sink. I was dressed in beige cargo pants, a green tanktop and gloves, my __(c)__ hair was tied up and my brown boots with their mauled shoelaces. I had Simba prowling at my feet again. Whenever that albino lion was around, shoelaces beware. Leon yelled a greeting as i waved. I ran over and unlocked the gates and let them in.

"So guys, this is __(n)__. She's the one who showed me around yesterday and offerd to give you guys a tour" Leon said.

"Nice to meet you all." i smiled.

"Cool! So we can go visit whatever animals we want to see?" The one who i guessed was Covey asked.

"Sure, where do you want to got first?" i asked. I got a mixed awnser.

"How about we just start with the lions again?" Leon offerd.

"Sounds reasonable" The dark haired male, who i assumed was Jin, said.

I nodded, "Sure, but before we go..." i picked up the white lion.

"...This is Simba" Leon finished, he took the cub from me and promptly placed him on his sholder. Simba's chest puffed out as he let out a weak roar. We all laughed.

"So, shall we go?"

Over the next three hours, we were back and forth all over the zoo. After the Lions, Covey insisted we go see the Bulls, they loved him, if that was possible, Somehow, he had gotten to ride even the most foul temperd one. We were about to leave him there when i offerd to let him come see them another time, he followed reluctantly. Sho and Nicole were entranced by the horses. Jin got the biggest kick out of Sho trying to ride the minature ponys. Nicole however, loved the largest of the horses and kept saying that we should dye their manes and tails bright colors. I told her that we did occasionally for holidays. Then she announced that she was coming back for sure. Marche was entertained by the rams. He kept petting them and feeding them the grass that grew just outside of their pen. Jin favored the reptiles, mainly the komodo dragons and the snakes. He kept cracking up when the others got spooked when i let him hold the snakes. By the end of the day, everyone was laughing and happy. I brought them to my place and made them all supper. All in all, it was a good day. We sat around my table, talking and laughing, Simba prowling the floor for leftovers while Leon fed him bits of steak.

"Today was the best! And we owe it all to you __(n)__!" Sho smiled.

"You guys flatter me" i said, chuckling.

"So, __(n)__. Are you coming to watch judgement bey?" Jin asked.

"I wasnt going to no, but, now i might consider it" i admitted.

"You should come! I'll dedicate my victory to you!" Leon exclaimed.

"You dont have to do that" i blushed.

"Aw, someone's embarassed" Nicole teased.

"Yea...whatev...What? NO!" i exclaimed, cheeks bright red. Leon laughed along with the others. He leaned over and put an arm around me, furthering my embarrasment.

"We're just joking! Lighten up!" Marche said and i soon found myself laughing with them, Leon's arm draped over my sholders.


Two weeks later. On the day of the tournament, Team Estrella vs The Dominators. I was running late, not just a few minutes late, half and hour late, Simba had gotten sick and i had to take care of that before i came. I had promised i'd be there, i felt so bad for missing the first half of the battles.

I ran inside, flashing the ticket Leon gave me and i sped up the stairs and into the stands, i had just made it halfway through Leon's battle. I sat down, eyes glued to the stadium as Leon fought against Jake of the Dominators. I yelled encouragement from my spot, soon everyone else was too. Leon could barely hear them, he was focusing so hard.

"Come on Leon! You can do it!" I shouted, i doubted that he could've heard me over the roar. But something must've spurred him on....But it wasnt enough. Leone got jammed between two massive plates of ice as Jake finished him off, i watched reluctantly. My head drooped as boo's echoed from the crowd. I rose from my chair and went to the team rooms. I flashed the pass and continued down.

Me and Leon had grown even closer in the past two weeks, it didnt take long for me to realize i was in love with the sassy wheeler. His attitude only made it clearer. He showed me some of his moves a while back and would always come over for supper or to see the lions. It was nice to have a good friend for once.

I knocked on the door and Jin opend it. He brightend slightly at the sight of me.

"Hey __(n)__. You made it" Leon said from inside. Jin let me in as i sat down beside him.

"Sorry i lost...I was trying to win for you..." he said quietly. Sho took the hint and usherd the others out.

"It's allright Leon, i'm more worried about you than some silly win" I hugged him tightly as he hugged back.

"I wanted to impress you though...I like you after all" he said.

"You dont need to impress me. You've allready done that ages ago...wait what did you say?" i asked, i thought something was wrong with what i'd just heard.

"...I like you __(n)__. Alot. And i wanted to impress you so that maybe you'd like me back..." he said.

I lifted his face up, and planted a kiss right on his lips.

"You idiot, you dont need to do something like that to impress me. You've already done that a million times over." i said as i wrapped my arms around his neck.

"So...You like me" he said, more than asked.

"Yes, actually no, i love you Leon. It dosent matter weather you win or loose. I've always loved you" i said, he smiled.

"That means alot to me __(n)__...I love you too"
