Beyblade, Nile X Reader

The sand whipped around, the coarse tiny stones like sandpaper on the flesh on my face. My cloak whipped around much like the sand, the wind tore at the edges and the sand got up into the hood, filling my eyes with grit, blinking it away i braced myself against the wall of sand and continued. I was sure that i heard something a few moments ago. Quite often people were stranded way out here in the desert and countless times i had to rescue them. I pushed my way over a small sand dune and tripped over something. I stumbled but caught myself. Turning, i saw a figure, human and half coverd in sand. So this was who i heard. Shielding myself from the sand, i picked up the figure and began the short trekk back to my hideout.

Stepping inside, i shut the door and locked it. I layed the boy on the couch and goot a good look at him. He was pretty tall, about my age with brown hair, his bangs and the pieces infront of his ears were dyed bright orange. He had orange makeup under his eyes. He wore a long green shirt and a yellow and black jacket over it, he wore tan pants a shoes the same color as his jacket.

"Hm, African definitly. What's he doing unprepared out in the desert?" i wonderd. I soaked a cloth in cool water and layed it on his forehead. I tried to coax him to drink a bit of water but he just choked it back up. I sighed and put the water down.

"Looks like i'm going to have to wait until he wakes up..." I sat in the chair and looked around. My hideout was built into an old temple, it was suppost to be a modern version of one but it was abondoned. It made a perfect hideout, the walls were made of tight bricked sandstone. The floor was made of a similar stone. I had brought in an old couch, a bed, a few chairs and a mini kitchen. It was all solar powerd, i had to clean away the sand covering it most of the time but other than that and the fact that i had to go into the nearest town to get food and supplies, it was a pretty good setup. I heard a groan as the boy stirred. My __(c)__ eyes glanced over as he sat up and started coughing. I ran over and pressed a glass of water into his hand, he brought it to his lips and chugged the entire thing in a few gulps.

"M-more..." he coughed.

"You shouldnt drink too much. You'll just cough it all up" i said, but i got him more water, he took small sips as he explained to me why he was out in the desert.

"I was looking for a friend of mine who went training in the desert...He's a dare devil and sometimes he's just too reckless. So i followed him to make sure he didnt do anything rash. A storm came out of nowhere and i didnt bring anything with me, so i tried to make it back to the town...i must've completely missed...where are we?" he asked.

"My hideout, i just found you a few meters away from my door" he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.

"Guess i wound up in the right spot then." he chuckled.

"Anyway. Who are you?" i asked.

"Me? I'm Nile. And you?" he asked.

"Name's __(n)__. __(n)__, __(ln)__." i said. I was pretty tall for my age, with __(l)__, __(c)__ hair. I had __(c)__ skin and bright __(c)__ eyes.

"Nice to meet you __(n)__...But i should be going"  he said, standing up.

"Not yet your not, the storms still going strong. Your going to have to stay here until the storm dies down" i replied. He sighed in annoyance.

"Oh well, i'll go when it clears up. Thanks for letting me stay" he said.

"No problem. And if you need food or water there should be some in the fridge...i need to stock up soon" i said. With a nod, Nile ran into the kitchen and chugged a bottle of water. I chuckled lightly and took out my book. He sat on the couch, half curled up drawing on some paper i lent him. I watched, my eyes hidden behind the unread pages of my book. He looked up and my head dipped as i flipped the page. While he drew i kept my eyes on him. I soon realized he was writing in egyptian hieroglyphics.

"Thats egyptian isnt it?" i asked.

"Yea...I like to draw them out sometimes...So i dont get rusty" he said. I nodded as i read...actually reading this time.


It was a full two days later when the storm finally crawled to a stop. The winds had been blowing non stop for 2 full days. My food supply was running low and Nile had to go find his friends...or team Wild Fang as he told me they were named. I pulled an almost empty backpack on and took a long drink of water.

"Hey Nile! You ready to go?" i yelled around the corner.

"Yes __(n)__...I'm coming" he turned the corner with his bag over his sholder.

"Good, your friends are probably worried sick about you...I know i would be" i said, then i realized what i said and my cheeks reddend slightly. He just smiled.

"Good to know" he chuckled before taking my hand and pulling me outside where the sun beat down on the sand dunes.

"It sure is hot..." he mumbled as i closed my door.

"Yea...Good thing i'm wearing sunscreen" i said as we set out across the desert. It was an annoying trip. Let me say. The sand kept getting in my boots and slowing our progress. The sun wasnt helping either. All the while me and Nile chatted about random things. He told me that him and his friends were part of Team Wild Fang, which was one of the teams participating in the world champion ships. They were about to go up against the Japanese team in a few days.

"Wow, really? You must be a good blader then" i remarked.

"Ah, i'm not that good...Our leader, Kyoya, is the strong one. I'm just the second member" he chuckled.

"I'm sure your alot stronger than you give yourself credit for. You seem like a good blader" i said.

"Thanks..." he turned away slightly, a light blush on his cheeks. I chuckled and took a long drink of water, i held it in front of him.

"Thirsty? You dont want to get dehydrated" i said.

"Sure, after getting over my last case of dehydration i dont want to do it again" he took the bottle and swallowed half of it. I put it in my backpack as we continued on.

We didnt reach the town till well after lunch. We first stopped at a resturant to get a bite to eat.

"Mmm, i havent been to a resturant in ages" i said.

"Me neither, we've been too busy with training and traveling to get a good meal" Nile replied.

"So, tell me about the rest of your team? They seem interesting" i said.

"Well...we're an odd bunch. Kyoya is the leader, the strongest, and in my opinion a bit of a hot head...dont tell him i said that" He whisperd and i chuckled.

"Then there's Demure, He's like a computer with eyes like a hawk. He can see the bey and tell us every part of it and it's skills. He's pretty strong too. And then there's 'the masked bull'" he had me laughing before he even started describing him.

"He's an old friend of Kyoya's...he follows him around like a puppy. He wears a mask and acts like no one knows who he is. He's the sub member" Nile explain as i chuckled. I heard someone clear their throat and Nile looked up...and paled. Behind us stood a tall male with dark green colored hair and sky blue eyes glaring at Nile with anger in his eyes.

"Oh...Hey Kyoya. Where have you been?" Nile asked nervously.

"Hot head?" Kyoya growled.

"Heh, i was just kidding" Nile said sheepishly.

"Whatever, hurry up. We're going" Kyoya said and led the other two out of the resturant. Nile frowned.

"Looks like i'm going to have to go now" he sighed.

"It's allright, you cant abandon your team...Just know i'll be cheering for you" he smiled.

"Thanks __(n)__. I'll do my best" He leaned across the table and before i knew what he was doing he kissed me lightly on the lips. He was blushing but smiling. I smiled back.
